Dr. Howard is a native of Brooklyn , New York . She graduated from New York University and the University of North Carolina , Chapel Hill Medical School . She completed her pediatric residency in 1979 at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in New York and an adolescent fellowship in 1981 at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore . Dr. Howard is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Howard joined the practice in 2007. She resides in White Hall , Maryland with her husband, and has 2 sons. Her hobbies include gardening, raising horses and caring for her birds.
